Molly Parker is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Dietitian in the State of Vermont. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, Nutrition & Food Science from the University of Vermont in 2016. She is also a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS), designated by the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp).
Molly specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating behaviors, as well as body image-related concerns. She also works with clients experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, depression, and general mental health concerns.
Molly recognizes the importance of including the family in the client’s treatment and she is also involved in frequent Team Meetings as part of our multidisciplinary approach at The Adams Center. Eating disorders have mental health, as well as nutritional and medical, aspects, so the care, attention, and coordination of our team approach is considered best practice.
Molly’s professional philosophy is that good nutrition is not just about food choices themselves, but also how we experience food and eating. She works with her clients to dismantle internalized weight stigma and bias and find sustainable health-related practices without using weight, size, or BMI as indicators of health. Molly is LGBTQIA+ sensitive and friendly in her practice.
